Medication Aide prepares certified nursing assistants (CNA's) for administering daily medication to patients in a hospital or medical facility. Also referred to as medical aide technicians, their duties include monitoring patients, reporting changes, and collecting samples.
Our 12-week course* provides the student with skills and training in order to succeed. This course contains an in-class lecture discussion and practical instruction. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to receive credentials as a nationally certified Medication Aide Technician.
Admission Prerequisites
» 18 years of age
» A valid Photo ID and Social Security Card
» High School Diploma/GED or Copy of Transcript
» Currently employed in a Long-Term Care facility/Assisted Living facility as a Nurse Aide or non-licensed direct care staff member on the first official day of the medication aide training program.

» BLS Certification - $70
» Application/Processing Fee - $50
» State Application (Students will pay this fee to the state) - $25
» Fingerprints Fee (Students will pay this fee to the state) - $42
» Scrubs (We do not provide this; students will have to purchase elsewhere)
» Stethoscope & Blood Pressure Cuff (We do not provide this; students will have to purchase elsewhere)
