Phlebotomy is the process of making a puncture in a vein, usually in the arm, with a cannula, for the purpose of drawing blood. The procedure itself is known as a venipuncture. Phlebotomists are allied healthcare workers who perform venipuncture procedures for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research in hospitals, labs, and doctors' offices. At FOATC, you will learn the skills necessary to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

Our 6-week course* provides the student with skills and training in order to succeed as a phlebotomist. This course contains an in-class lecture discussion and practical instruction. Upon completion of the program, graduates can sit for their national certification exam through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) to receive credentials as a nationally certified phlebotomy technician.
